Reiki is a Japanese founded, non-invasive therapy which aims to help the body bring itself back to a state of wellbeing. It is a gentle technique that aims to treat the whole person; body, mind and spirit.  Pronounced ray-kee, in Japanese it means 'universal life force energy'.  You may have heard of the term 'chi' before;  the Japanese 'ki' means the same. It is a healing technique of transmitting life energy by placing the hands gently in specific positions either on or above the body to restore mental, physical, emotional and spiritual balance. What to expect during a treatment

A session is usually carried out with the client lying down. There is no need to take off any clothing.The practitioner places their hands gently, in a series of positions, on or over the body. During the treatment you may feel warmth, cold, tingling or nothing at all!
